A yoga class, a musical open house, and a coloring session for adults

The Street, the outdoor shopping area off Route 9 in Newton, is offering Yoga on The Green every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.through Oct. 1. Each session offers instruction from a different yoga teacher; the summer series of which the sessions are a part also includes musical performances and fitness classes, all of which are free and open to the public. 47 Boylston St. (Route 9). The Framingham Public Library will be hosting a night of coloring, tea, and music on Thursday, Aug. 24, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Adult Coloring Night will take place at the Homework Center in the Main Library. Colored pencils and coloring pages will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own materials. No registration is required. For more information, go to framinghamlibrary.org.

The Concord Conservatory of Music will host an open house in Acton on Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 4 to 7 p.m in St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 435 Central St. Guests are welcome to participate in the “Instrument Petting Zoo,’’ where they can explore instruments in a hands-on way under the guidance of school faculty. The conservatory is a nonprofit school serving Concord and 15 surrounding communities.Guests can enter a raffle to win a free semester of group classes at the conservatory for the fall semester.
