Lin-Manuel Miranda isn’t just a sensation on Broadway.
The “Hamilton’’ creator attended the America Adelante conference at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership, and the lucky few who attended the talk Thursday night — it was strictly invitation-only — tweeted about his appearance.
That includes Miranda. The Tony Award winner posted a few pics from the two-day conference, which brings Latino leaders, activists, and rising stars to campus to convene with Harvard Latino students and assorted others.
“Spoke to a room full of young Latinx leaders aka Nina Rosarios at Harvard @Kennedy_School this evening,’’ Miranda tweeted afterward. “It was @lmq212’s final request of me before she passed away, and she never asked for much. Did my best to hit ’em with everything I know.’’
Miranda’s tweet refers to his friend Lisa Garcia Quiroz, the founding publisher of People en Español, who died last month of pancreatic cancer. She was 57.
Miranda was interviewed onstage by Harvard Kennedy School studentAmanda Matos, about whom the playwright later tweeted: “Super glad I met Amanda Matos. Have a feeling I’ll be working for her/lobbying/helping with her campaign someday. I’ll get to say we knew her when.’’
