The town of Lexington will commemorate the dawn of the Revolutionary War with a reenactment of the first shots on the Battle Green. The annual Patriots Day celebration starts bright and early, with reenactors staging the battle between the British foot soldiers and Lexington militiamen at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, April 18. The annual Patriots Day Parade takes place in Concord on Monday, April 18, to the tune of fife and drum corps as reenactors head to the North Bridge at Minute Man National Historical Park. The parade will set out at 8:45 a.m. and arrive at the bridge around 9:30 a.m., where reenactors will commemorate the “shot heard round the world’’ with a restaging of the battle and ceremonies featuring Minuteman companies, British reenactors, and music.
