For Hiller, a new role after years in TV news

Andy Hiller has a new gig. After leaving Channel 7 in December, the longtime political reporter and host of “The Hiller Instinct’’ has landed at The Bernett Group, a marketing research company based in Boston. Hiller tells us that he’s been working there for almost a month now and his official title is managing director.

Hiller said he feels “very lucky’’ to have found a job that puts his reporting skills to use and “takes me away from covering the Trump administration.’’ He added: “I’m excited, and I have a window in the office.’’ As many journalists know, windows are hard to come by in most newsrooms, and Hiller now enjoys being able to look outside and take in the view of the Gillette sign. He’s also still getting used to the fact that now that’s he’s no longer under a broadcasting contract, “I can walk in any day and be fired,’’ he quipped.

But somehow we have a feeling he won’t have to worry about that because he’ll do just fine. We wish him luck in his new job.
