Police arrest Wooster motorist on drug charges

Wadsworth Police Department
Aug. 1 – Police officers went to a gas station in the 900 block of High Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. to assist a motorist. Upon further investigation, Geneva Troyer, 21, of Wooster, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth degree misdemeanor. She was taken to the Medina County Jail.
Wadsworth Police Department
Aug. 1 – Police officers went to the 800 block of High Street at approximately 3:50 p.m. to investigate a drug related matter. Jimmie Spurlock, 39, of High Street, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. Additional charges are pending further investigation.
Aug. 1 – Two residents of Meadowcreek Drive reported that tires on their vehicles had been damaged.
July 31 – Police officers took a report about a fraudulent purchase that was made at a business on Williams Reserve Boulevard. The case is under investigation.
July 31 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Mark Lynn for failure to appear for jail time on a possession of drug instruments charge.
July 31 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Joshua Lego for failure to appear at a status hearing
July 31 – A Whippoorwill Lane resident reported a possible attempted burglary at their residence that may have occurred between July 18 and 22.
July 30 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Joshua Shandor for failure to appear at an arraignment.
July 30 – Police officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Interstate 76 and state Route 94 at approximately 9:20 p.m. because the plates were not registered to the vehicle. The driver was cited with possession of marijuana and additional felony drug charges are pending chemical testing.
July 30 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Dean Brewer for failure to appear for arraignment.
July 30 – Police officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Great Oaks Trail and High Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. The driver, Dierre Johnson, 20, of Parkview Avenue, was cited for driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.
July 30 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for James Hill for failure to appear at an arraignment on a drug possession charge.
July 30 – A Stauffer Drive resident reported a theft from his online banking account.
July 29 – Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street in reference to a report of a cell phone being stolen from a vehicle. The matter is under investigation.
July 28 – Police officers responded to a Morningview Ridge Circle at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. One person was transported to the hospital for a head injury. The investigation is ongoing.
July 28 – Police officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 800 block of High Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. because the plates were not registered to the vehicle. Officers reported locating some marijuana during a vehicle search. The driver, Derek Senz, 20, of Creston, was cited for possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.
July 27 – Police officers conducted a traffic stop on State Street at approximately 11:45 p.m. because the owner had a suspended driver’s license. Officers reported that the driver, William Clegg, 36, of Sterling, was in possession of marijuana. He was cited with marijuana possession and driving under suspension.
July 26 – Police officers responded to a Smokerise Drive parking lot at approximately 1:15 a.m. to investigate a suspicious person. The individual was identified as Matthew Rothschuh, 28, of Bedford. After an investigation he was arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments. He was transported to the Medina County jail.
July 26 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Amber Mitchell for failure to appear for sentencing on a theft charge.
July 25 – Police officers went to a residence in the 100 block of Third Street at approximately 5 p.m. to serve a felony warrant to 27-year-old Ross Tucker. Officers located Tucker inside the home and placed him under arrest. He was taken to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and released into their custody.
July 24 – A Water Street resident went to the police station to report possible threats being made from her husband.
July 24 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Michelle Ward for a probation violation.
July 23 – Police officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Great Oaks Trail and High Street at approximately 8 p.m. A passenger, Damion Brillhart, 21, of West Salem, was arrested for possession of drugs, a third degree felony. Additional charges are pending further investigation.

July 27 — A vehicle was stopped for expired plates on Wadsworth Road in Wadsworth Township at 6:06 p.m. The driver, Corey Oskar, 26, of Akron, was cited for driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.
