Carlos Beltran hit a tiebreaking, two-run double in a five-run fifth inning as the Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels, 6-3, in New York on Thursday night to complete a four-game sweep and reach .500 for only the second time since mid-April.

A night after homering twice in his first Yankees start, Chris Parmelee hit a tying single. But he needed to be helped off the field in the seventh after injuring his right hamstring while stretching into a split to grab Didi­ Gregorius’s throw on an inning-ending ground out.

Ivan Nova (5-3) won his second straight start, allowing three runs and six hits in 6? innings. Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller, and Aroldis Chapman combined for two-hit relief, with Chapman getting three outs for his 11th save in 12 chances. The Yankees are 8-0 when all three pitch.

Orioles 6, Blue Jays 5 — At Toronto, Chris Davis homered and hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the ninth as Baltimore posted its fifth straight win.

Davis had three RBIs for the AL East leaders.

Cardinals 3, Reds 2 — Yadier Molina’s bases-loaded single snapped an eighth-inning tie, and St. Louis reached a season-high four games over .500 by beating host Cincinnati.

Molina’s third hit of the game sent St. Louis to its fourth victory in five games. The Cardinals (32-28) are tied with the Pirates for second place in the division, 10 games behind the Cubs.

Rangers 5, Astros 3 — Prince Fielder homered for the first time since briefly getting benched and Jurickson Profar got two more hits as Texas beat Houston in Arlington.

Astros shortstop Carlos Correa appeared to injure his left ankle when he stumbled over the first base bag running out a grounder in the fifth inning. He exited the game and is day-to-day.

The Rangers clinched a franchise-record 10th straight home series victory.

Rockies 11, Pirates 5 — D.J. LeMahieu homered and drove in three runs, reliever Jorge De La Rosa tossed four perfect innings, and host Colorado beat Pittsburgh.

Jeff Locke (5-4) had his four-game winning streak halted. He surrendered 11 runs and saw his ERA soar from 4.28 to 5.38.

Mets 5, Brewers 2 — Bartolo Colon (5-3) pitched seven strong innings for New York in Milwaukee, and Curtis Granderson led off the game with a homer.

White Sox 3, Nationals 1 — Melky Cabrera doubled twice and drove in two runs host Chicago, which broke a five-game skid.

Marlins 10, Twins 3 — Miami cruised in Minneapolis as Marcell Ozuna had four hits and three RBIs.
