Transgender rights: Bridgewater Public Library, at 15 South St., is hosting “Supporting Transgender Rights: A Family’s Journey,’’ a discussion on gender identity and transgender rights presented by Bridgewater residents Beryl and Vernon Domingo, on Monday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. The couple will share the personal story of their transgender son’s transition. CANTON

Memory Café: The Canton Council on Aging is creating a safe space for people with varying levels of memory loss with The Canton Memory Café. Individuals with memory loss are invited to relax with their care partners and family over refreshments and entertainment. COHASSET

Musical: The Cohasset Dramatic Club is performing the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’’ on Saturday, March 24, at Cohasset Town Hall, 41 Highland Ave. The musical is a contemporary retelling of the biblical story of Joseph’s coat of many colors. There will be a performance at 2 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $23 for adults and $18 for seniors and students. Black light paint: East Bridgewater Public Library, at 32 Union St., is holding a “Black Light Paint Party’’ for children in grades seven to 12. Attendees will be given supplies to mix their own paint and create a black light painting. Finance: Ames Free Library, 53 Main St., is hosting a conversation on personal finance for women on Wednesday, March 21, at 3 p.m. Topics include setting up a 401k or IRA, risk tolerance, and asset allocation.
