At last, tickets for the much-anticipated Boston production of “Hamilton,’’ the hip-hop-based musical about the Founding Fathers created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, go on sale at 9 a.m. June 19.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Broadway in Boston announced Friday that tickets will be available online via Ticketmaster “Verified Fan,’’ a technology that, according to their prepared statement, “allows pre-registered fans to unlock access to tickets without competing against scalpers and bots.’’ Pre-registration began Friday at noon and ends June 15 at 11:59 p.m.

As you might expect, tickets will not be cheap, with prices ranging from $84.50 to $199.50, and there’ll be a “select number’’ of premium seats available for $569.50. The maximum number of tickets that can be purchased per household is four. A lottery will be held for all performances for 40 orchestra seats that will be sold for $10 apiece.

“Hamilton,’’ slated to run at the Boston Opera House Sept. 18-Nov. 18, has been a sensation since arriving on Broadway in August 2015. The show received a record 16 Tony nominations and won 11, including best musical, and also won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama. DON AUCOIN
