Shake Shack area director Amy Green sought out Artists for Humanity when decorating the new 28-seat space because of its Boston roots, partnering with under-resourced urban youth to offer jobs in art and design. “We wanted artwork that reflected the neighborhood, something that brings life into the space, and I wanted it from an organization connected to the community. They encourage entrepreneurship and social change, so it was a no-brainer,’’ Green says. “We had to work with them, because we consider ourselves a neighborhood gathering place, too.’’
