‘Lemonade’ on iTunes?
When Beyoncé’s album “Lemonade’’ was released late Saturday night, it was available only on Tidal, a big win for that subscription streaming service, in which Beyoncé is a part owner. But Tidal’s period of exclusivity appears to be quite short — just 24 hours, as the album was expected to be released for sale on iTunes at midnight Sunday, according to two people briefed on the plans for the release. ‘Jungle Book’ still tops
‘‘The Jungle Book’’ remained king of the box office in its second weekend in theaters, beating new opener ‘‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’’ by about $40 million, according to estimates Sunday. Disney’s live-action/CG spectacle is an all-audience success story. ‘‘Barbershop: The Next Cut’’ landed in third place with $10.8 million in its second weekend in theaters. ‘‘Zootopia’’ and ‘‘The Boss’’ rounded out the top five with $6.6 million and $6.1 million, respectively. Obama dines with Rowling
President Barack Obama went from Shakespeare to Harry Potter during his visit to London. The boy wizard’s creator, J.K. Rowling, was among guests who were dining with Obama at the US ambassador’s London residence Saturday. Earlier the president visited Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to mark the 400th anniversary of the playwright’s death. (AP)
