Singer Demi Lovato (left) has some unkind things to say about Rhode Island-bred beauty queen Olivia Culpo (right). In an interview with Billboard, Lovato, who likes to consider herself a straight-shooter willing to say (or tweet) things others won’t, claims she didn’t care for Culpo when Culpo was Nick Jonas’s girlfriend. “Honestly, I didn’t like her anyway,’’ Lovato says. “It’s not because she’s mean or anything, but [Jonas] has such a great sense of humor and I want him to be with someone that makes him laugh. I can tell if something’s up because he’ll close off.’’ (In the past, Lovato has also dissed Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey.) Jonas’s new CD, “Last Year Was Complicated,’’ is said to be partially about his breakup with Culpo, whom he dated for two years. Culpo, whose parents are partners in several area restaurants, including Woody’s Grill and Tap and the Parish Cafe in the Back Bay and South End, has lately been spending time with Patriots receiver Danny Amendola.
