On May 29, 1917, John F. Kennedy was born at 83 Beals St. in Brookline. On Monday at 3 p.m., US Navy jets will fly over the same house to mark the hour of his birth 100 years ago.
The flyover is part of a daylong centennial celebration at his birthplace that includes the dedication of a JFK “Forever’’ stamp by the US Postal Service, live music, and a keynote address from US Representative Joe Kennedy III. For more details, visit www.nps.gov/jofi.
Music and speakers are also scheduled at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston. And yes, the Navy jets will fly over Columbia Point, too. Go to www.jfklibrary.org
