Carl George Kovalchik
Carl George Kovalchik, 83, formerly of Medina, passed away on Jan. 28, 2018 at the Ohio Veteran Home, in Sandusky. He was born on Dec. 6, 1934 in Cleveland to the late George and Mary (nee Hosko) Kovalchik.
Carl had resided in Medina for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1953-1957. He was a well-known barber in Medina where he started his business in 1958. Carl was also a licensed real estate agent. One of his enjoyments was his membership with fellow Medina Honeycomb Chordsmen.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Kim Ii (Jeffrey), of California; four grandchildren, sister, Elaine Henry; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Koch; brother, William Kovalchik; and sister, Rosemary Reutter.
