The Handel and Haydn Society will make its debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art next year. The Met announced Friday that the H+H and artistic director Harry Christophers will perform Monteverdi’s “Vespers of 1610’’ at the Met’s Temple of Dendur in the Sackler Wing April 8, 2017. It will be the period instrument orchestra and chorus’s first performance in New York since 1996 and its first performance in the city with Christophers.
