Bobby Brown’s memoir, “Every Little Step,’’ which comes out Monday, is already making tabloid headlines. Of course it is. Brown writes that he had sex with a ghost, that his late wife Whitney Houston was bisexual, and that his daughter’s death may have been caused by her boyfriend Nick Gordon. And that’s not all. The book includes a lot of stuff you never wanted to know about the Roxbury-bred R&B singer. For example, when he was 10, Brown mistook cocaine for flour, and fried chicken in it. He describes “feeling weirder with each bite’’ until his mom realized what was happening and, horrified, put a stop to it. Brown writes that at the height of his stardom, his sex life was, um, active. In a section titled “Girls, Girls, Girls,’’ he describes how he and the other members of New Edition had “girls screaming at us wherever we went.’’ That includes Madonna, with whom he had a tawdry tryst. “Before I knew it, we were in the bathroom,’’ he writes. The book gets darker when Brown begins writing about his marriage to Houston, a union that lasted 14 tumultuous years. Much of the memoir reads like a defense against allegations made by “gossip rags,’’ and there are sections written by friends and relatives who insist Brown is just misunderstood. “The world needs to understand that Bobby’s been victimized,’’ former bandmate Ralph Tresvant writes. Brown will be signing copies of the book at Trident Books & Cafe on Newbury Street on June 21.
