The parade of Tall Ships through Boston Harbor on Saturday might be the highlight of Sail Boston, but there are many other events taking place over the next week. Here’s a full list of Sail Boston events, all open to the public for free.

Saturday

Grand Parade of Sail Boston Harbor9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Remember — this is the big one. When roads will be closed, security will be upped, and 54 vessels from around the world will be sailing into Boston Harbor. The ships will travel along the Boston waterfront and turn at Charlestown before anchoring in their assigned berthing areas.

Sail Boston FestivalsBoston Fish Pier

and Charlestown Navy Yard 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Watch the Tall Ships sail by with some music, entertainment, and food for purchase. The festival will last until Wednesday, June 21, running every day from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Public Boarding of Ships Boston Fish Pier, World Trade

Center, Fan Pier, and Charlestown Navy Yard4 p.m.-10 p.m.

Once the ships are stationed, visitors can board them for free. Exact boarding times will be posted closer to the event and may vary at the Captain’s discretion. The ships will be berthed at the Boston Fish Pier, World Trade Center Pier, Fan Pier, Rowe’s Wharf, and Charlestown Navy Yard. If you miss out on boarding a boat, no worries — they’ll also be open for boarding Sunday, June 18 through Wednesday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday

Patriot RunNorth Jetty8 a.m.

If you’re wanting more to watch, 200 sailors, Marines, and coast guardsmen will be running from the North Jetty Pier to Christopher Columbus Park and back, about 2.5 miles each way.

Sail Boston Worship Service Chapel of Our Lady of Good Voyage10 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

The chapel will be hosting an ecumenical service for the general public, cadets, crew, and guests attending Sail Boston.

Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial Wreath LayingMassachusetts Fallen

Heroes Memorial 11 a.m.

Naval forces from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru will join the US Navy and US Marine Corps to honor the men and women from Massachusetts who served and died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Monday

Crew and Cadet Street Parade Seaport Boulevard

to Downtown Crossing12 p.m.-2 p.m.

This parade will celebrate Sail Boston and welcome crew, cadets, and guests from around the world. Presented by Downtown Boston BID, the parade will feature marching bands and cadets from visiting ships and will travel from Seaport Boulevard to Downtown Crossing.

Tuesday

Crew and Cadet

Soccer Tournament Moakley Park 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Cheer on the Tall Ships’ crews and cadets as they enjoy some time on land by competing in a soccer tournament at Moakley Park.

Sunset Salute Charlestown Navy Yard7 p.m.-9 p.m.

More music, more entertainment. Enjoy the Charlestown Navy Yard with the Constitution Color Guard, Irish American Police Officers Association Pipes and Drums, and William Diamond Jr. Fife and Drum.

Wednesday

Tug of War South Boston Maritime Park 12 p.m.

Sunset Salute Fan Pier7 p.m.-9 p.m.

This time, the Sunset Salute will take place at Fan Pier and will feature the Chilean Band, Dan Clark the Singing Trooper, Lynn English ROTC, Middlesex County Volunteers Fife and Drum, Sweet Harmony, US Coast Guard Drill team, and Wheelhouse Rodeo.

Thursday

Hold back the tears and come say your goodbyes to the Tall Ships, which will be heading out of Boston Harbor in the morning. Most will be continuing on to the next leg of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta to Canada.
