JT’s big day in Big Sky
James Taylor celebrated his 69th birthday last week, but the singer wasn’t in the Berkshires, he was in Big Sky, Mont. Still, he had a good time. We’re told Taylor and his wife, Kim, were at a friend’s house March 12, and Boston chef Ming Tsai was also there. So who do you suppose fixed dinner? Tsai, owner of Blue Ginger in Wellesley and Blue Dragon in South Boston, whipped up some wasabi soba noodles with hamachi sashimi, explaining that it’s a Chinese custom to eat noodles on one’s birthday for longevity. To cap off the evening, Shawn Colvin serenaded JT with “Happy Birthday.’’
