Newton native John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have a new baby. Krasin­ski made the announcement on July 4 by tweeting: “What better way to celebrate the 4th . . . than to announce our 4th family member!!! 2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th.’’

Krasinski and Blunt have been married since 2010. Their first daughter, Hazel Krasinski, was born in February 2014.
