What will become of Elizabeth Warren if Donald Trump is elected president? According to “The Simpsons,’’ Trump will exile the Democratic Massachusetts senator. A humorous clip posted on YouTube over the weekend imagines what would happen if President Trump is called at 3 a.m. to deal with an international crisis. “Not now, I’m on Twitter,’’ he says, ignoring the call to finish a tweet: “‘. . . and Elizabeth Warren tweets too damn much. Glad I exiled her.’ Send.’’ Trump then gets on the phone to make a few demands. “Oh, and put my name on the Lincoln Memorial, make Chris Christie eat a worm just for laughs, disband NATO, and make me some scrambled eggs in a gold plate.’’ The bit about Warren is a reference to her periodic Twitter fights with Trump. The pair’s Twitter tiff was also the subject of a “Doonesbury’’ cartoon over the weekend. In the strip, the senator calls up Joanie, a “Doonesbury’’ character who’d worked as a volunteer coordinator on Warren’s campaign in 2011, and asks if she’’ll unretire and “join the Twitter wars.’’ “It’s a blast going after this jerk,’’ Warren’s character says. At first, Joanie declines, but when her grandsons say they’re “playing Trump’’ by calling each other “phony,’’ “liar,’’ and “hater,’’ she relents. “Elizabeth? I’m in,’’ says Joanie.
