Rose was born on April 11, 1931 in Southern California to Fred Dupree and Carrie Lea Dupree.
Rose was promoted to heaven to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on December 28, 2024 at the age of 93.
Rose was a graduate of Woodland High School and the Sacramento City College School of Nursing. She was employed by Sutter Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse for 25years and is credited as one of the founding nurses of the Sutter Hospital Telemetry Unit which opened in 1973.
Rose was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Rose enjoyed several overseas vacations including travels to many European countries, Egypt, and was proud that she climbed the Great Wall of China.
She served as a docent for many years at the Crocker Art Gallery in Sacramento.
She enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bowler. She bowled a perfect 300 game in a Sacramento bowling league.
Rose is pre-deceased by her parents, her son Michael Masterson, and her husband Dale B. Grissom Ph.D.
She is survived by her son Chuck Masterson (Victoria), daughter Marjorie Masterson, daughter-in-law Sheri Masterson, grandchildren Eric Masterson (Madelyn), Aimee Wilson (Blake) & great-granddaughter Eliora Masterson.
