Woodland police arrested 37-year-old Jose Cruz after finding illicit drugs in his possession while conducting a compliance search of a residence.

Law enforcement was at Cruz’s home to carry out the search as a part of the conditions of his Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) terms. During the search, officers located over an ounce of Methamphetamine, items consistent with drug sales and several prohibited weapons.

Cruz also had a replica handgun. Cruz was arrested for drug sales, possession of paraphernalia, possession of dangerous weapons and violation of PRCS terms.

A 61-year-old Woodland resident, Michael Schuyler, was also contacted at the residence and arrested for a warrant. Both suspects were transported and booked into the Yolo County Jail.
