OAKLAND >> A man was shot Monday morning not far from the Coliseum, authorities said.

His age was not immediately available. He was listed in critical but stable condition at a hospital.

The shooting was reported about 9:43 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of Hegenberger Road.

The man was found with a gunshot wound to his neck area and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Police are trying to confirm a motive for the shooting but did say it could have stemmed from a dispute over a vehicle. No arrests have been announced.
