Richard Gene Gibson of Lafayette, CO, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at age 70.<br><br>He is survived by loving wife of 48 years, Rosalie. His sons, Chad Gibson &amp; Ryan (Miranda) Gibson; grandchildren, Skye, Jude and Henry; sister, Sandie (Lowell) Simson and nephew, Kyle (Amy) Simson, and their children Campbell and Davis; cousins, Susan (Gary) Tesone, Daniel Tesone and children, Ethan and Aiden, Scott (Mar tine) Tesone and children, Wesley and Owen, and Terry (Sandie) Barber.<br><br>He was preceded in death by parents, Margaret and Lawson.<br><br>Richard was born March 18th, 1954 in Boulder, CO and grew up in Lafayette, CO, where he lived his entire life and made many friends. He was part of the last graduating class of Lafayette High School in 1972. He loved sports and music. In high school, he played football and basketball.<br><br>He was well known for playing the trombone in the school band. Outside of school, his band, The People's Choice, had many local fans that loved to see him play guitar.<br><br>Rick made a living and provided for his family driving and delivering primarily for Anheuser Busch. He made many friends at work where he was a senior member of the Local 455 chapter of Teamsters Labor Union.<br><br>Richard enjoyed weekend fishing and camping trips all over CO and its neighboring states. He dabbled in archer y and never stopped playing guitar but golf was perhaps his favorite leisure activity.<br><br>He loved watching sports. During football season, he rarely missed a Broncos or Buffaloes game.<br><br>Richard will be remembered as a dear friend that worked hard to provide for his loving wife, children and grandchildren.<br><div><br></div>
