SOUTHFIELD >> The Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets scored on four consecutive shots late in the second period on route to a 5-2 win over the Utica Eisenhower Eagles Saturday evening.

The Eagles came out strong, using their forecheck to cycle the puck in deep and maintain possession in Country Day’s end five-on-five. Eventually, Eisenhower got the lead when they scored off the opening face off of the second period with Troy Aliotta racing in and picking the top right corner for a power play goal and a 1-0 lead for the Eagles.

But Eisenhower kept taking penalties, giving the Yellowjackets a series of power plays in the second period, including two long five-on-three chances. Eventually, Country Day cashed in the fifth power play of the period and sixth of the game, tying the score 1-1 on a redirect in the slot by Parker
