The Woodland Public Library is gearing up for its annual Read, Rumble, and Rev event on April 26, which is meant to give local children and adults a chance to learn about the vehicles and industries in their community.

This unique car show allows kids to not only see these different vehicles up close but they get the chance to interact with the adults who operate those vehicles. Last year’s most exhibitors provided an activity or had staff on hand to describe the inner workings of their machines, according to the announcement on social media.

At this year’s Read, Rumble, and Rev, businesses will have the opportunity to win the hearts of Woodlanders while giving them a glimpse into these vehicles and the vital tasks they perform.

The city is currently seeking truck owners, operators, heavy equipment owners and other vehicle operators to show off their vehicles and talk to the city’s young people about their industries. Some of the types of vehicles exhibited in the past include:

Unique/Rare/Novelty (limos, monster trucks, antique trucks)

Construction (cement and dump trucks, cement rollers, etc.)

Emergency (ambulances, sheriff and police vehicles, fire trucks and equipment, etc.)

Farm Equipment (tractors, plows, etc.)

Commercial (postal, delivery, 18-wheelers, etc.)

Military (all types)

Recreational (4-wheelers, motorcycles, etc.)

The deadline to register is April 12, and the link can be found at https://tinyurl.com/readrumblerev.

Read, Rumble and Rev will kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Woodland Public Library at 250 First Street. You can find more information at https://www.cityofwoodland.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=924.
