Resident of San Jose

Ruth was born in Springfield, Mass. to Rose and Julius Seidel, the first of 4 children. The family moved to New Haven, Ct. where Ruth was valedictorian of her High School class. She attended nurses training in New York, and met the love of her life, Bill Harrison, in 1944. They married in April1945, and moved to Southern California with their 2 daughters, Nancy and Debra, in 1951. They completed their family in 1957 with the birth of their third daughter, Ilene. In 1959, the family moved to San Jose, where Ruth worked as an office manager for several doctors’ offices and medical facilities. She enjoyed traveling, was anavid reader and a terrific Mah Jongg player. She was also a long standing member of B’nai B’rith, ORT and Hadassah.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents, her husband Bill and her brother Jerry.

She is survived by her three daughters Nancy Wendling (Jim), Debra Gardner (Dave) and Ilene Dickerson (Steve), as well as her brother Joel Seidel and her sister Susan Yanowsky (Gary), three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
