Senior outside hitter Isla Johnson had 16 kills and Harbor High’s girls volleyball team repeated as Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League regular-season champion with its 25-17, 25-11, 27-25 sweep of Scotts Valley on Thursday.

Senior outside hitter Maren O’Farrell had 10 kills for the Pirates (17-9, 10-0). Senior setter Sandy Enriquez made 14 assists, and senior libero Grace Stryker made 10 digs.

Senior outside hitter Ava Morrison had 10 kills and three aces for the Falcons (15-7, 6-4). Junior outside hitter Hayden Smith had five kills and nine digs, and junior opposite Rylee Giesen had five kills.

On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., Harbor hosts Santa Cruz on senior night, and Scotts Valley plays at Aptos.

Marina 3, at St. Francis 2 >> Junior outside hitter Peyton Orradre had 11 kills, 22 digs, and two blocks in the Sharks’ 25-21, 16-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11 loss in Pacific Coast Athletic League Cypress Division play Thursday.

Junior libeiro Mia McClendon made 30 digs for St. Francis (13-9, 5-6), and junior setter Georgia Otzman had 25 assists and 10 digs. Senior middle blocker Carley Anderson had six kills and two blocks, junior setter Julie Lopez had seven assists and 19 digs, and junior outside hitter Madison Silva had four kills, two aces and three digs.

St. Francis plays at Greenfield on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Girls cross country

PCAL Mission Division >> Monte Vista Christian senior Kylie Brunelli (18:19) held off Watsonville senior Katelynn Ruiz (18:28) for the win in the PCAL Mission Division race on Pinto Lake County Park’s 3-mile course in Watsonville on Thursday.

Watsonville junior Lizbeth Gomez Abrica (19:42) took fifth, and MVC freshman Anna Conca (19:56) was sixth.

Salinas (43) won the meet, and Watsonville (57) tied Alvarez for second.

WCAL Meet No. 2 >> Archbishop Mitty senior Evie Marheineke, a Santa Cruz resident, took first place at the West Catholic Athletic League’s No. 2 meet at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale on Thursday.

Marheineke completed the 5k course in 18:24. Junior teammate Alessia Carbone, a Scotts Valley resident took 20th in 20:54.

Boys cross country

PCAL Gabilan Division >> MVC junior Gavin Beckmen (16:31) took fourth out of 34 runners in the PCAL Gabilan Division race on Pinto Lake County Park’s 3-mile course in Watsonville on Thursday.

Alisal senior Gustavo Perez (15:44) took first, and MVC junior Conor Gilliam (16:39) took 10th.

Hollister (62) won the meet; MVC (64) tied for second with Marina.

PCAL Mission Division >> Watsonville sophomore Nain Garcia-Ferria (16:58) took eighth out of 59 runners in the 3-mile PCAL Mission Division race at Pinto Lake County Park in Watsonville on Thursday.

Carmel senior Mack Aldi won in 15:39, as the Padres (64) edged North Monterey County (65) for the meet win. Watsonville (135) took sixth out of nine teams.

Girls tennis

At Scotts Valley 6, SLV 1 >> Sofia Niklaus and Isabella Padilla won their singles matches, and the Falcons beat the short-handed Cougars in SCCAL play Thursday.

SLV had just six available players and defaulted at No. 3 & 4 singles and at No. 3 doubles.

Scotts Valley seniors Skylar Dufour and Dillon Fiorita won and No. 1 doubles.

SLV’s Cassidy Collier snd Claire Hamilton defeated sophomores Zicheng Zeng and Alina Charley 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 2 doubles.

Scotts Valley (7-3, 6-2) hosts Soquel on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

At Aptos 7, Harbor 0 >> Aviana Andrews, Isabella Calderon, and Julia Blevins earned singles wins over the short-handed Pirates in SCCAL action Thursday.

Harbor defaulted at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Natalia Calderon and Charlotte Long, and Aracely Ritchie and Gia Arista earned doubles wins.

Aptos (9-3, 8-0) plays at Santa Cruz on Tuesday.

Boys water polo

Aptos 19, at SLV 3 >> Silas Reynolds and Elijah Souza each scored four goals in the Mariners’ SCCAL win Thursday.

Senior Thomas Westfall added two goals for the Mariners, who host Soquel on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Girls water polo

Aptos 17, at SLV 2 >> Senior Scarlet Glietsman Miller and Bianca Bogaard Medinilla each scored three goals in the Mariners’ SCCAL win Thursday.

Aptos freshman Lorelei Tracy had two goals, three steals and two ejections drawn. Rylie Knudsen and Charlie Christy also scored twice.
