Patricia died gently in her own home in Sonoma County on February 4, 2025. She is survived by her two children, two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one brother. She grew up in the South Bay, later lived in the San Gabriel Valley and most recently in Sonoma County.
She was over 100 years old and lived a very productive life. She was an avid reader from an early age throughout her entire life. She went to UCLA as a math major. She became a teacher who taught elementary school and later adult education. She was a lifelong teacher and seeker of knowledge. She was a Navy Veteran WAVE who served in Washington, DC during World War II.
She was a world-class knitter, winning many awards.
She loved trees, especially Redwoods, was devoted to gardening and had a beautiful yard. She was a great citizen and contributed to many organizations. She was intelligent, fun, a devoted friend, a good mother and extremely funny. Patricia was outspoken and never hesitated to voice her opinion. She went beyond society's expectations for women of her day. As her legacy, Patricia is asking all (children and adults) to read more books!
