In Loving Memory

Melissa Allison passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous three year journey with cancer.

Melissa was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas.

She was creatively and passionately committed to the causes that mattered to her: her work as a Construction Tech Coordinator at Pipe Trades Training Center in San Jose, her role as a founding Changemaker of The Changemaker Initiative, and her band of friends at Los Altos United Methodist Church.

An avid gamer, lover of astronomy, artist and admirer of our feathered friends, she naturally carved a place in the hearts of those who knew her.

Predeceased by parents Dean and Jackie Allison, Melissa is survived by her dear sister June, and a large family of loyal, loving friends, colleagues and community.

Melissa will be dearly missed.

A memorial is planned for August 23, 2025, 1:00 pm, at Los Altos United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, you can honor Melissa with a gift to the Environmental Defense Fund (edf.org) or The ChangemakerInitiative(thec hangemakerinitiative.org).
