While manufacturers continue to offer larger and larger vehicles to consumers, Lexus has no problem touting their ever popular LX. The long-lasting success of the big-fleet Lexus models needs no introduction and has been around for years.
With recent refreshes across the Lexus fleet, our tester this week, a 2025 Lexus LX700h Overtrail. Wrapped in Nori Green Pearl, the 7-seater off-road powerhouse boasts a 457 horsepower, 3.4L twin-turbo V6 engine with a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the LX700h is ready for just about anything. If you noticed, I left the best for last, and that is the endless torque the Lexus LX700h offers. An astounding 583 ft-lb of torque is present for the LX and to call it a beast would be an understatement. It has absolutely no problem getting up and going while still maintaining a great miles per gallon overall.
In 2025 the Overtrail package gets rolled out and boasts off-road capabilities that far exceed the competition. Riding on all-terrain 18-inch tires, the Lexus LX700h Overtrail delivers an array of upscale luxury features to its passengers, while still hitting the trails hard. Standard on the Lexus LX700h is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, similar to other large Lexus SUV models, a 12.3-inch multi-information display, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six USB-C ports, a host of safety features and heads up display. Our Overtrail tester also offered a Mark Levinson 25-speaker audio system with surround sound.
Lexus has done a significant amount of improvements over the past few years to massively improve their entire fleet in rapid timing. The Lexus LX is no different and is not your average Toyota Sequoia from the past, its exceptional hybrid performance and upscale luxury additions make it a great choice for massive people movers who like that off-road capabilities for those weekend adventures.
