ODM to host disaster preparedness workshop

The Boulder Office of Disaster Management will host a disaster preparedness workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Boulder Rural Fire Protection District, 6230 Lookout Road, in Gunbarrel.

During the 90-minute workshop, attendees will learn about Boulder County’s hazards and emergency alerts; and can take a personal risk assessment and create a personal disaster-preparedness plan.

Police arrest one, search for two, after altercation

Police arrested one man and are searching for two more after an armed altercation early Friday morning in the 3200 block of Euclid Avenue, according to a press release.

One of the men in the altercation reportedly brandished a gun but did not fire any shots, the release said.

Police are searching for a teen or college-aged man believed to have been wearing a black hoodie and gray pants and a man who was wearing a white shirt and black pants.

CU Boulder police investigate graffiti

University of Colorado Boulder police are investigating antisemitic graffiti sprayed on several campus buildings in the early morning hours of Nov. 1, according to a press release.

“CU Boulder strongly condemns tactics and messages such as these, which target students, faculty and staff,” the release said.

“This type of conduct is not a productive way to address the difficult conversations facing our society today in a respectful and civil manner.”

In a separate post on X, the department asked anyone with information about the incidents to contact CUPD at 303-492-6666 and reference case no. 24-2190.

Vandalism violates university policy and Colorado law, the post said.

Sheriff’s Office investigates burglaries

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in identifying three individuals believe to be involved in a string of burglaries in the county in recent months.

Individuals have been entering homes and going to bedrooms and closets to search for jewelry, cash and designer purses, according to a press release.

The burglars are believed to be involved in similar crimes across the Front Range, including in Arapahoe County.
