Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather

John Joseph Hennessey was born on October 2, 1926. He grew up in Stillwater, raised his family in St. Paul, then retired to Stillwater in 1993. John, also known as Jack, lived his life in faith always showing his love of family and friends. He died peacefully surrounded by his family on September 7, 2024. Preceded in death by his wife Ruth Hennessey (McGrath). Survived by his four children, John Hennessey (Mary), Anne Furlong (Tom), Mary Steiner (Tom), Bill Hennessey (LiJun), twelve grandchildren (Tom, Kate, James, Patrick, Katheryn, Michael, Shannon, Mary, Hannah, Matt, Ben and Noah) and five great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, September 13 at the Church of St. Michael, 611 S. 3rd Street, Stillwater. Visitation one hour prior to Mass in the church Atrium. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, Bayport.
