Bay FC forwards Racheal Kundananji (Zambia) and Asisat Oshoala (Nigeria) will leave after this weekend to join their respective national team squads for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Both players will join their nations’ squads for the upcoming tournament in July following Bay FC’s game at Gotham FC at 4:30 p.m. today.

Kundananji’s selection marks her third by the Copper Queens this year, following call-ups in February and May for friendly contests. She has scored 26 goals for her nation since making her senior debut in 2018, which included the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris.

Oshoala’s selection is her first by the Super Falcons since last summer’s Paris Olympics. Since her senior debut in 2013, Oshoala has scored 32 goals and appeared at the 2015, 2019, and 2023 Women’s World Cups.

Bay FC goalkeeper Emmie Allen and midfielder Taylor Huff were also selected for national duty as they’ll join the U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team camp during the upcoming June 23-July 5 international window.

The San Jose Earthquakes announced they have signed forward Ousseni Bouda to a contract extension through the 2027 season with a club option through 2028.

Bouda, 25, has scored three goals and notched one assist in league play this season as one of only three Quakes to appear in all 18 MLS games thus far (seven starts).

Liverpool delivered a huge statement of intent after winning the Premier League title by signing Germany star Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

The transfer fee could climb to 116 million pounds ($156 million), which would make the 22-year-old Wirtz the most expensive player in the history of British soccer.

Tommy Fleetwood charged through with two eagles in three holes, and so did Justin Thomas with five straight birdies. They wound up tied for the lead at 9-under 131 on a blustery day at the PGA’s Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn.

Tim Petrovic shot a 4-under 66 for a share of second-round lead with Steven Alker and Ricardo Gonzalez in the Kaulig Companies Championship in Akron, Ohio, the third major of the year on the PGA Tour Champions.
