INGLEWOOD >> Galaxy midfielder Jonathan Perez might have broken the heart of many of his family members Wednesday night.

Perez, a 19-year-old midfielder from Pico Rivera, scored in the 62nd minute to help pace the Galaxy to a 2-0 win over Chivas Guadalajara in the Leagues Cup Showcase at SoFi Stadium.

The game was the first of a doubleheader, the first two soccer games played in the stadium.
