Lisa Lorraine Nesmith passed away on Dec 10, 2024, in Boulder, CO after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family at the time of her death. Lisa was 65 years old and had lived in Boulder for 36 years.

Lisa was a beloved partner, mother, sister, aunt and cherished friend. Lisa was born in Deschler, NE on July 16, 1959 and subsequently moved with her family from Jacksonville, IL; Kansas City, MO; Wyckoff, NJ, Lincoln, NE; and Brookline, MA. Lisa met her husband David Curtis in Lincoln, NE in 1978 and they were married for 43 years.

After living in Brookline, MA and Mill Valley, CA; Lisa and her husband settled into Boulder, CO in 1988.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Richard Nesmith. She is survived by her mother, Barbara (Bowman) Hasson and step father, Charles Hasson; husband, David Curtis; her son, Nathaniel Curtis and daughter-in-law, Hana Flowers Staniforth; her son, Joseph Curtis; her sisters, Lesli Nesmith, Laurel (Nesmith) Preisendanz, Lana Nesmith; and her brother, Thomas Koll.

Lisa was a working Artist her adult life and a dedicated supporter of the creative arts in Boulder as President of the North Boulder (NoBo) Arts District.
