John Stephen O'Hearne, 69, of Boulder County, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025 after a courageous battle with illness. Born January 30, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John Joseph O'Hearne and Lillian O'Hearne, John dedicated his life to healing others through his medical practice. He graduated from the University of Missouri Medical School and completed his residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he was the youngest resident to complete the program in 1983. Dr. O'Hearne practiced medicine in Boulder County for many years, specializing in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Homeopathy. John was also deeply interested in holistic medicine, studying Ayurvedic Medicine, Yoga, and Meditation at the Himalayan Institute.<br><br>He had a great love for the outdoors that ranged from going around the block with his son in recent years to to being involved in hiking, biking, and skiing for many years.<br><br>He is survived by his wife, Nuzhat, thee children, Nicole, Michael, and Alexander; his siblings, Marilyn, Patricia, and Brian; and multiple nieces and nephews.<br><br>A family service is being held later. John devoted his life to the love and care of family and practice of medicine, leaving behind a legacy of healing and spiritual awareness.<br><div><br></div>
