Britain’s King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to visit Pope Francis during their trip to Italy and the Vatican in April despite the pontiff’s ill-health following his hospitalization around a month ago.

The announcement of the royal visit is likely to be read as an indication that the Vatican believes the pope will be out of hospital in the coming weeks.

As part of the four-day state visit, Charles and Camilla are expected to visit the Holy See to join Pope Francis in celebrating Jubilee year — or Holy Year — which takes place every quarter of a century and is focused on forgiveness and reconciliation.

Francis has been in Rome’s Gemelli hospital since mid-February with no timeline for his release.

Despite the turbulent past of the Reformation and King Henry VIII’s break with Rome almost 500 years ago, relations between the Vatican and the British monarchy are today marked by warmth and mutual respect.

Paltrow has ‘a lot’ of sex with Chalamet in new film

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Oscar-winner Gwyneth Paltrow shared some steamy tea about starring opposite Timothée Chalamet in the upcoming film, “Marty Supreme.”

Chalamet plays the titular ping pong champion in the movie in which he and Paltrow’s character get…close. So close, paparazzi footage of their characters canoodling on set went viral.

Paltrow teased that the scene in question was only foreplay as far as the sex scenes go.

“I mean, we have a lot of sex in this movie,” she said. “There’s a lot — a lot.”

When the writer asked her if “you’re in a lot of vulnerable positions with him?” Paltrow responded: “Beyond.”

man accused of hiding stolen ruby slippers dies

A federal judge dismissed the charges Monday against a Minnesota man accused of hiding a stolen pair of ruby slippers that Judy Garland wore in the 1939 musical “The Wizard of Oz” after prosecutors informed the court that he died Sunday.

Jerry Hal Saliterman, 77, of Crystal, who had been in poor health with lung disease and other ailments, had been scheduled to change his plea to guilty in January but that hearing was postponed after he was hospitalized.

The sequined red slippers were stolen in 2005 from the Judy Garland Museum in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Their whereabouts remained a mystery for nearly 13 years until the FBI recovered them in 2018.

They fetched a record for movie memorabilia of $32.5 million in December, according to Heritage Auctions.
