A Speak Out commenter questions how there could be problems with a Lake Shore Drive bridge. For 26 hours, Chicago officials shut down the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive at the bridge over the Chicago River due to a “structural emergency.” It reopened Tuesday. (E. The structural failure on the Lake Shore Drive bridge seems to be a design flaw that was possibly overseen by dozens of structural engineers. How could this have happened?
Because our roads are not dangerous enough with reckless and distracted drivers, who are, at best, seldom cited, Illinois lawmakers are seriously considering legalizing marijuana. If not about politics, it’s about money, the only two things that seem to matter.

I was reading the newspaper and saw how Gov. J.B. Pritzker isgoing to brag how he raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour, but they are not going to do it all at once. They’re going to do it over two, three, four or more years, which means workers will probably start to fall further behind because they have to wait for a $15 minimum wage. If it is so great, how come they don’t raise it all at once? It is because they know it will be a problem.
