37 year resident of Santa Clara, CA 

Linda passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74.

She died from complications due to ALS, which had been diagnosed in 2024. She was born at Stanford Hospital to Jean and Bill Kesler. Her family lived in Mountain View, Chico, and Fresno California. One of her memorable teenage thrills was seeing the Beatles live at the Cow Palace. Then she graduated from Bullard High in Fresno, CA, along with her four best friends for life. Right afterwards she went to college at UC Santa Barbara, where she met her future husband, Terry. They were married in October, 1981 and had 43 wonderful years together. She also graduated from the University of the Pacific with a speech therapy degree and taught speech to elementary students for 15 years.

However, her favorite thing was being a stay at home mom. She is survived by her two daughters, Kristen (age 38) and Megan (age 30) who love her and miss her deeply. She is also survived by her loving husband Terry, who took care of her in her last year. Additionally, asa dog lover, she had three golden retrievers over 30 years.

Besides being a mom, Linda also loved hiking. Her favorite spot was Mammoth Lakes, which she visited with her family every summer. She also loved traveling to see her friends and family, such as when she, Terry, and their daughters did a seven week excursion across the United States in their minivan. Finally, she was an active member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran church, where she cherished her friends in Bible study. They will miss their sister in Christ.

Amemorial service will be held on June 14 at 11am at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in San Jose, located at 5100 Camden Ave. San Jose, CA 95124.
