September 10, 1932 – April 15, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Preceded in death by husband, Ross Edward; daughter Karen Elizabeth; daughter-in-law Jean Butenhoff; grandson David Edward; parents Russell and Fran Bauer; sister Lois Paulson, brothers Richard, Don and Fred Bauer and their respective spouses. She was married to Ross for almost 70 years before his passing in 2023. She is survived by three sons: Stephen (Colleen Valente), Scott, and James (Patrice Blaeser); 9 grand children along with their spouses and fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pat was born and raised in Winona, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis campus. After marrying Ross in 1953, Pat followed Ross to San Antonio, Texas, where he served the Army.
After returning to Minnesota they made West St. Paul, MN their home for nearly 60 years. Pat was co-owner of Ross Drug Store in West St. Paul, where she helped her husband manage the books, records, and retail business for almost 40 years. As a member of Saint James Lutheran Church, she was a member of the Choir, and the Ladies Guild, she was also amember of the Jaycees and the Robert Street Business Association which provided funding, support, and resources for many community efforts. In 2016 they moved to assisted living in Apple Valley Minnesota where they later transitioned to memory care. Pat’s greatest joy was time spent with her family and friends. She was a wonderful friend, spouse, mother, grandmother, and great grandma. She and Ross were always so good to attend the many grandchildren’s concerts, school events and sports activities.
She will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to know her. Service: Saturday, April 26, at 11:00 a.m.
