The Santa Rosa Junior College football team dropped its third straight game Saturday, falling 38-24 at College of the Redwoods in NorCal Conference play.

The Bear Cubs (3-5, 0-3) led 17-13 early in the third quarter before the Corsairs (2-6, 2-1) scored 25 unanswered points to take control of the game.

The Corsairs had a pair of interceptions during their scoring run that they turned into touchdowns to pull away.

SRJC was plagued by penalties, being called for 11 infractions for 147 yards.

Bear Cubs quarterback Bobby McGovern finished 22-for-45 passing for 238 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for a score. Jovon Scott and Keon Moore both had touchdown receptions for SRJC.

Redwoods amassed 374 total yards of offense to SRJC’s 361. Corsairs quarterback Devon Forehand passed for 199 yards with two touchdowns and rushed for 103 yards with a score.

SRJC will look to snap its skid at American River (2-6, 2-1) next week.
