Anthony A Piexoto, known as “Tony” to most people or “Sonny” to his family passed away onDec 4, 2024, at his home in San Jose with his loved ones. A second generation Californian, he was born on Sep 4, 1933 in Santa Cruz, the fourth child and only son of Anthony S Piexoto and Mabel A Hansen. He graduated from Santa Cruz High School in June 1953. Growing up in Santa Cruz, he enjoyed surfing, and later water skiing. He enjoyed classical music, corny jokes, wine tasting, camping, and bowling, among other things.

He met the love of his life, Alpha EWilson, and they were together 25 years before she preceded him in death in 1982 at the age of 44. He was also predeceased by his eldest son, Anthony R Piexoto, also known as “Tim” or “Tony” in 1989 at the age of 29. He became the only parent to his 4 remaining children, Carol Piexoto, Bill Piexoto (Greg Casella), Marie Westwood (Barney), and Dan Piexoto (Susan Irwin). He was proud of his extended family and legacy as patriarch to 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He worked his entire career at IBM as aCustomer Engineer until his retirement. In retirement he loved spending time with his growing family and sharing his love of classical music, westerns, and more.

In lieu of flowers, Tony asks that donations be made to ALS, als.org, or St. Jude’s Children Hospitals, stjude.org, or Shriners Children Hospitals, loveschriners.org, or Disabled Veterans, help.dav.org. Service and Internment will be on WedJan 8atChapel of Roses at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose.
