CROCKETT >> A man and a boy were found dead inside a home last week in what the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office called a murder-suicide.

Deputies were sent to a home in the 1200 block of Pomona Street about 8:30 p.m. on June 17 after receiving reports that there were two people dead inside a residence, according to a statement from sheriff’s office spokesman Jimmy Lee.

They both appeared to have been dead for several hours, Lee said.

Authorities did not identify either of them Tuesday morning. They also did not say how they died.

Homicide detectives and crime lab technicians are investigating what happened. Authorities urged anyone who may know something to contact the sheriff’s office at 925-313-2600 or 925-646-2441. Tips can be sent to tips@so.cccounty.us or by calling 866-846-3592.
