Redwood City

Mary joined her beloved husband Jim early Sunday, Sept.1, passing peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95. Her life was a testament to love and dedication as a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, and sister to her Irish family.

A native of Kil Mallock, Co. Limerick, she married on June 14,1952 and settled in Southern California. She and Jim relocated thereafter to Redwood City to raise their nine children. Mary was preceded in death by her son Michael (2009) and her brothers William and Michael and sisters Eileen and Nora.

Mary is lovingly remembered by brother Tom Browne of Co. Limerick, Ireland; by sons James Jr., Loren, Thomas and Edwin; daughters Elaine, Judith, Catherine and Patricia; grandchildren Jessica, Max, William, Austin, Jenna, Ryan, Christian, Nicole and Mason; great grandson Benjamin; and her Irish cousins, nieces and nephews. She was along- time founding member of St. Pius Catholic Church, an avid tennis player and adevoted singer in the Sunday choir. At last, she is at peace.

Amass of Christian burial will be offered Thursday, September 12, 10:30am at St. Pius Catholic Church in Redwood City. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park.
