A Dolton man was fatally shot Monday night, officials said.

Murray Hayes Jr., 27, was shot multiple times in the 1100 block of East 152nd Street around 10:30 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dolton police pronounced Hayes dead at the scene.

The circumstances of Hayes’ slaying were not immediately clear and it’s unknown whether any suspects have been identified.

Dolton police did not return requests for comments on the incident.
