Kings forward Marvin Bagley III will miss four to six weeks after injuring his thumb in the season opener.

The Kings said Thursday that an MRI showed Bagley has a non-displaced fracture in his right thumb after getting hurt in a 124-95 loss to the Suns in Phoenix.

Bagley had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the game.

The Kings are counting on a big season for Bagley after he had a promising rookie campaign. The No. 2 overall pick in 2018 out of Duke averaged 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in his first season.

Rondo to start: The Lakers’ experiment starting LeBron James at point guard will be short lived. Rajon Rondo is coming for the No. 1 spot.

“I’ve given it a lot of thought and I think he’ll be in the starting lineup a lot,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said Thursday.

Rondo, 33, missed the Lakers’ season-opening loss to the Clippers, sitting out with a sore calf, and the offense sputtered. The Lakers shot 43.5 percent from the floor and had 14 turnovers against 20 assists.

McRae set for surgery: Wizards G/F Jordan McRae will have surgery on his right ring finger after breaking it in the team’s season-opening loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday night.

McRae’s status will be re-evaluated next week.
