Jean lived a wonderful 87 years and enjoyed family, friends, a round of golf and a good puzzle or bridge game. She was the oldest of 4girls and was born in New York. She attended Rosary College in Illinois and during those years she met her husband.

They enjoyed 54 years of marriage. She once served as an airline stewardess for United Airlines, she taught elementary school and served as a French language interpreter for the United Nations. She was a loving mother to four children.

She is survived by her sisters Helen Lemal and Virginia Gethmann, and her children: Kathleen Pelz (Jeffrey), Brian McDonnell (Bridget), Patrick McDonell (Felicia) and Maureen Mc- Fall (Matt).

She is survived also by her eight grandchildren Bailey and Conrad Pelz, Ashley, Sean and Ryan McDonnell, Shane and Michael McDonnell, and Keely and Turner McFall.

She was preceded in death by her husband Terence McDonnell M.D., and her sister Angela Walsh.

A Memorial mass and celebration of life will be held, date to be determined.

She will be at rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette CA
