Resident of Capitola
Resident of Capitola We lost our beautiful angel on April 29, 2025 Tammy was surrounded by family &friends at home in Capitola where she called home the last ten years. She fought lung cancer in early 2001 - 2004 and beat it, unfortunately the cancer returned in early 2025 and was untreatable due to underlying medical conditions she’d been dealing with the last 8 years in various degrees. Tammy went to work at Rollie R. French Inc. in 1982 as a bookkeeper until 1989 when she took time to care for her mother Josephine, when her mother passed she took time for herself and took care of decorating & landscaping of our homes in Almaden, Capitola & Lincoln, CA, which she had a definite knack for, along with entertaining all our family, friends & neighbors in these homes in the various places we have lived over the years, she most definitely had the magic touch for entertaining and was soloved by all. Our story began in 1979, in 1980 Tammy was working at K-Mart in the sock isle (blue light special) when I was called into the office where I worked &was told Ineeded to go to Los Angeles (ASAP) to pick up some special material that was stolen from a job site, and have it on the job site Monday morning by 6am or don’t bother coming back. I needed a co-pilot fast, so I went to Tammy’s work &found her restocking the socks that were thrown about apparently during the frenzy of the (blue light special) so I explained my situation to her, she said, Ican’t just quit my job, to which Ireplied just come with me Ineed aco-pilot, we will work it out later, 46 years later Ibelieve we worked it out.
Tammy is predeceased by her parents, Maurice & Josephine, sister Carol, brothers Mike, Morris & Billy, her beloved in laws & her faithful dogs Buddy, Baby, Rocky, Sammy &Jack. She is survived by her husband Mark & new family member (Archie the dog). Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews. Loved by all. I want to sincerely thank all the Family, Friends & Neighbors that cared for Tammy during these last few weeks or so, including Hospice of Santa Cruz for the comfort care Tam received by all.
Services will be held (TBD) In lieu of flowers, The family requests donations be made to the American Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (ASPCA) please go to their website on ways to donate.
She will be greatly missed by all.
Until we meet again Tam.
