A thin snowman is joined by an angel, manger scene, a reindeer pulling a sled and other holiday creatures at this festively decorated home at 41 La Crescenta Drive.

This home and property at 3415 Morningside Drive decorated from top to bottom and one side to the other lights up the neighborhood and the night sky.

OROVILLE >> Lights, lights and more lights along with giant inflatables and animated figures are adorning houses, garages, fences and lawns throughout the Oroville area this season.

While there were only a handful of nominations for this year’s Tour of Lights, the Mercury-Register Christmas elf found many stunning, fun and sometimes a bit chaotic holiday displays driving from one nominated home to another.

So don’t let this year’s short list deter you from grabbing the family or a friend or two, bundling up and mixing up some hot chocolate in a to-go cup and taking a cruise around town where everything is truly merry and bright.
