The Ontario Reign got busy off the ice Monday by delivering 40 new bikes to schoolchildren.

The hockey team joined with two organizations and a plumbing business for the giveaway. Partners in the effort were All Pro Cooling, Heating, Plumbing and Electrical, the Ontario Reign’s Hope Reigns Foundation and Wish for Wheels.

The day started with officials and players for the Reign, a Los Angeles Kings affiliate, showing up at the Toyota Arena in Ontario to build the bicycles, a news release states.

Then team representatives and others drove to Ontario’s Arroyo Elementary School to hand out the bikes and helmets. Smiling students got to pick a bike, get fitted for a helmet and go for a ride.

The activity was the latest between the Reign and All Pro. Last month, they joined for a Dog Walk & Watch party to raise money for Foster Animal Rescue.
